Today, Toshio Shibata continues to investigate with his camera the myriad visual possibilities that he discovers in the mountainous topography of his homeland. Martha Tepper Takayama received a BA from Boston University and an MAT from Boston College. Previously a private art dealer, she has directed Tepper Takayama Fine Arts, specializing in Post World War II and contemporary photography, since 1993. She has published essays about the work of Shomei Tomatsu, Daido Moriyama and Rogerio Reis, among others, and has exhibited and curated their artwork for numerous cultural institutions.
