Originally from Temperance, Michigan , Stephen M. Schaub discovered his passion for photography while serving in the United States Marine Corps. He vividly recalls the experience of photographing in far-flung deployments around the globe.
Since graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Schaub has consistently mastered, and then pushed the limits of his chosen medium. Initially in traditional large format photography, he experimented with a variety of panoramic formats and elaborate toning combinations.
Today, he continues this process of creative experimentation through the combination of both traditional and digital technologies in his newly-developed hybrid process “Digital Holgaroids.”
Schaub is the author of “A Sense of Place”— a collection of his panoramic landscapes— as well as his newest book “Through a Glass Darkly,” featuring his Digital Holgaroid work. |
