Q. There are horizontal streaks or lines on my prints. What is causing this?
A. The print head may be dirty and need to be cleaned. To clean the print head:
Turn off the printer. Open the paper tray door and remove the photo paper. Place one sheet of photo paper upside down (with the watermark facing up) in the paper tray.  Gently glide the photo paper under the print head until you feel some resistance. Close the paper tray door. The sheet of photo paper will automatically eject. Open the paper tray door and reload the photo paper (including the sheet you used to clean the head.) Start printing again as normal.

Q. When I view photos on my camera they appear brighter than what actually prints. What is causing this?
A. Typically, all digital images seen on a screen appear brighter than what will actually print.

Q. My printed photos are cropped. What is causing this?
A. Digital cameras, depending on the image size you choose, typically create a digital image that is not the same aspect ratio the printer is able to reproduce. Aspect ratio refers to the length and width, in pixels, of a digital photo.

Q. My printed photos are dark or blurry. What is causing this?
A. It is most likely the photos you took are dark or blurry because they were taken indoors and your phone's camera does not have a flash. For a brighter picture, increase room lighting.

Basic Questions

Q. I connect my printer to the AC adapter and the GREEN light does not come on.  What is causing this?
A. A number of possible causes for this problem:
  • The power plug is not connected to the printer or not fully pushed in
  • The power plug connected to the AC adapter may not be fully pushed in
  • The power plug connected to the AC outlet may not be fully pushed in
  • the printer battery is not installed

Q. I just finished chargin my battery for the Polaroid PoGo™ printer and it will not print using the battery. What is causing this?
A. Make sure the printer is powered on. Hold the power button until the top LED illuminates green. If the green LED light does not illuminate, the battery is not fully charged or there is no battery in the printer. If, after trying these suggestions, the printer will not work, please call our telephone support number at 1-800-POLAROID.

Q. When I sent a picture to the printer, I saw paper come out of the printer but without an image. What is causing this?
A. The paper was put in the printer wrong side up. Paper should be loaded into the printer paper tray with the watermark facing down. Flip the paper over so the watermark faces down and try printing again.

Q. I printed a number of images using the battery for power. The printer has since stopped working. What is causing this?
A. The printer’s battery may be out of charge. Plug in the printer’s AC adapter and charge the battery. You can continue to print while the battery is charging.

Printing Questions

Q. The printer’s green light flashes when I try to send a photo from my phone but it does not print. What is causing this?
A. Your Bluetooth-equipped telephone may not be compatible with the printer at this time. Click here to check compatibility.

Q. I connected the printer to my computer but I can't print pictures. What is causing this?
A. The printer was not designed to print photos directly from a computer using a USB connection. No printer driver software that allows the printer to be recognized by a PC is available at this time when connected with USB. If you want to print from your PC, use a Bluetooth connection.

Q. The printer seems to be working since the Green LED is on but I am having problems printing photos directly from my Pictbridge enabled digital camera. What is causing this?
A. Many digital cameras must have USB mode selected to enable Pictbridge printing. If you have a Polaroid Pictbridge capable digital camera, click here to get printing instructions for many popular models. If you do not have a Polaroid camera, check your camera’s User Guide for instructions on how to enable Pictbridge printing. If you don't have the User Guide, go the camera manufacturer's website and find your camera model. Do a search for "Pictbridge" in the FAQ's for your camera model.

Q. After I print a number of images, the printer seems to be taking longer than normal to print. What is causing this?
A. The print head is cooling down. To extend the life of the printer, internal software keeps track of how many images are printed. After a certain number, the printer stops printing for a short time and allows the print head to cool before printing resumes.

Q. Lately, it seems to take longer to print the first photo. What is causing this?
A. If the printer is cold it takes a bit of extra time for the print head to heat up so it can begin to produce high-quality prints. Example: The printer was left inside a cold car overnight. Bringing the printer indoors and immediately trying to print before it warms up to room temperature will take longer than normal for your printer to work.

Q. The printer seems to be working since the Green LED is on but I can't print photos from my phone? What is causing this?
A. It's possible that your Bluetooth equipped phone is not compatible with the printer at this time. Click here to go to our phone compatibility chart to see if your phone has been tested and works with the printer. If your phone is not compatible at this time, here are two things that typically happen:
  • The green light on the printer continues but no prints come out.
  • A message on the phone says "Unable to find device" or "Unable to connect."

Q. Printing was working fine but all of a sudden the printer will not print photos from my phone. What is causing this?
A. The printer must "pair" with the phone to print. In some cases, this pairing may become corrupted and you can no longer print. To fix the problem, delete the phone-to-printer pairing using your phone’s keypad commands. After deletion, re-pair with the printer as you did when you first set up the phone to pair with the printer.

Q. My printer won't power on. What is causing this?
A. You may not have pushed on the Power button long enough. To turn on the printer, hold down the power button for 3 - 5 seconds before it powers on.

Q. My printer keeps shutting off. What is causing this?
A. The printer probably turned itself off. If you do not press any buttons on the printer or print any photos, the printer will automatically shut off after 3 minutes to save battery power. A second possibility is the battery power is low. Plug in the printer’s AC adapter and charge the battery.
