Polaroid Fotobar's Flagship Store Opens Its Doors at The Linq Las Vegas

Posted: Mar 31, 2014
This is the company’s fifth retail store, with more openings planned throughout 2014.

LAS VEGAS (March 31, 2014) -- Polaroid Fotobar has opened the doors to its newest flagship location at The LINQ in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The 4,000-square-foot experiential retail destination gives visitors the ability to produce living memories by printing their photos in three different sizes that feature the exclusive Polaroid Classic Border Logo format.

Guests can also leave Las Vegas with an extensive array of custom photo home décor. Polaroid Fotobar offers a vast selection of innovative, personalized photo products made from fashionable materials like metal, stone, bamboo, canvas and more. “Fototenders” will be on hand to assist guests as they craft shadowbox collages or distinctive wall art.

“We are thrilled that Polaroid Fotobar is opening their flagship location today in Las Vegas,” said Scott W. Hardy, president and CEO of Polaroid. “Throughout our rich history, Polaroid has been about sharing life’s memorable moments in creative and fun ways. The Polaroid Fotobar flagship location is the perfect physical representation of the Polaroid brand and our values. We are excited to have visitors from all over the world visit this unique retail destination and experience the Polaroid brand first-hand.”

The store’s second level will house The Polaroid Museum. Andy Warhol, Lucas Michael, Maurizio Galimberti, Marc Serota, Maripol and Tim Mantoani are just a few of the celebrated artists who have revolutionized the photography and art worlds through their creative use of Polaroid cameras and snapshots. Their works will be featured alongside the 20x24 Polaroid camera; history on Polaroid founder Edwin Land; a broad collection of rare artifacts, art and advertising from the Polaroid Historical Collection at MIT; and the first permanent mobile photography installation, which is composed entirely of photographs sent in by the Instagram community.

These exhibits will be unveiled when The Polaroid Museum opens on April 17. The 4,500-square-foot space will also be available for corporate events and private functions for up to 300 people.

Polaroid Fotobar is located between the iconic Flamingo resort and the recently rebranded The Quad. It joins 32 other trendsetting restaurants, bars and shops, in a shopping district surrounding The High Roller, the world’s largest observation wheel – at The LINQ. This flagship store joins existing Polaroid Fotobar locations in Miami, Orlando and Delray Beach in the company’s home state of Florida. A grand opening party will be held to commemorate this newest addition to the Las Vegas Strip. Details will follow shortly.
