Polaroid Becomes Official Action Sports Camera Partner for 2013 King of Wake Series

Ridgefield Park, N.J. - May 17, 2013- Polaroid announces that they are the official action sports camera sponsor of the 2013 King of Wake series. Viewed as the world’s elite pro wakeboarding series, the King of Wake ties the sport’s most prestigious contests together into one ultimate season-long points chase to see who rules the wake.
The King of Wake will make eight stops throughout the United States, commencing in Orlando in April and ending in August in Grand Rapids, MI. Athletes from around the world will compete during the course of the season to be named the “King of Wake.”
The Polaroid Action team will be along for the ride, giving away free tickets to each event and having a booth at every stop on the tour. At each stop, spectators will have the chance for one-on-one meet-and-greets and autograph signings with the tournaments’ finest athletes. Each day hundreds of prizes will be given away including autographed t-shirts, Polaroid instant cameras and several autographed Polaroid XS100 HD waterproof sports action cameras as grand prizes. They will also be showcasing their extensive mountable sports action video camera and instant digital camera lines.
While in action many of the participating athletes will capture all those extreme shots the fans are craving using the Polaroid XS100. The Polaroid Action team, coordinated through C&A Licensing LLC, an authorized Polaroid licensee, is also compiling footage from these contests using the Polaroid XS100 for a commercial that will air during the King of Wake Games on the NBC Sports Network this summer.
